Pittsburgh Shooting; This Shit is Getting Close to Home

Police said a suspect was in custody after a shooting caused “multiple casualties” at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday.

Three officers were also shot in the attack at the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood.
Police sources tell KDKA’s Andy Sheehan the gunman walked into the building and yelled, “All Jews must die.” Sheehan’s sources confirmed that eight people were dead. Others had been shot, but the extent of their injuries in unknown at this time.
Tree of Life is conservative and welcomes all. That some Asswipe would go there and kill people is an abomination.

I know that area. I have family there. Their house is inside the area that has been locked down. So this shit is personal.

From yesterday's post: This shit is getting worse.

UPDATE: Our Arsonist-in-Chief is decrying the spread of fires.

  2. German grad student in the area noted this was her second mass shooting nearby, the other in CA in ‘16. This isn’t just “close to home”, this is the chickens coming home to roost. You spend a decade saying the other side is illegitimate, is trying to steal from “us”, and finally those of “us” on the fringe...mentally or otherwise...will start acting out. This is gut check time for the Republican Party. Do they speak out and try to stop the offensive shit some of their candidates (and their President) are doing that is stirring up the hatred, or will they simply surrender to the Trump wing and condemn their Party to the scrap heap of history.

  3. Seems he was anti Trump there, fella. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/10/robert-bowers-synagogue-shooting-suspect-appears-to-be-anti-semite-who-hates-trump.html

You gotta get your head screwed on straight. It isn't all always Trump's fault, all the time.

But don't let reality get in the way of your hate.

  4. B., show me where I suggested he was pro-Trump? I stated he was one of a group that have decided that “they” are coming to take ‘Merica away from “us”. He was right of Trump, and believed Donnie wasn’t sufficiently anti-immigrant. Now, please explain how a person believing that isn’t motivated to action by Donnie’s drumbeat of “fake news”, “terrorist caravans” and such? The Republican Party is complicit by remaining silent on this abomination of an Administration.

  5. He didn't like Trump because he's so antisemitic that he was outraged that Trump allowed his daughter to marry a jew.

  6. Never allow the public to cool off.
Never admit a fault or wrong.
Never concede that there may be some good in your enemy.
    Never leave room for alternatives.
    Never accept blame.

    Sounds like dtrump. History rhymes.
