Where's My $130,000, Mickey?
(Oh, for the days when wearing a tan suit was a scandal.)
But anyway, I haven't discussed whether or not I have ever had sex with Donald Trump. I'm pretty sure that Trump would deny it. (For the record, I've never met him, nor would I want to ever be in the same ZIP Code with him.) But I'll be happy to not talk about the fact that I've never had sex with Donald Trump, if I'm adequately compensated.
Sounds ludicrous, right? But that's the story that, basically, Team Trump is peddling: Trump's personal lawyer paid a porn star $130,000 out of his own pocket to not talk about an affair that never happened.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
From the article:
ReplyDelete"Yes, because lawyers regularly make payments out of their own pockets on their clients' behalf without their knowledge, and with no expectation of being reimbursed. "
Fair question, really.
That one sentence was the best example of weapons-grade snark since the Air Force retired the SM-62.
ReplyDeleteObviously, I don't operate in the Trump realm. My clients are middle class employees and small-business owners. I've represented a couple of medium-sized companies in the past. I have never ever expended funds for a client without their knowing about it, and I sure have shit have never advanced any costs without an expectation of being repaid.

ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait until the next presidential press conference. It should cover a lot of activities and events. Suspect that the answers to the many questionable antics since the last back and forth with press will see the light of day after Mr. Trump releases the promised income tax returns.
