A top national security official told lawmakers on Tuesday he had not been directed by Donald Trump to disrupt Russian efforts to meddle in US elections, and that Vladimir Putin had come to the conclusion there was “little price to pay” for such actions.Gee, remember when the Right called Obama "timid"?
Adm Mike Rogers, director of the National Security Agency and chief of US Cyber Command, told the Senate armed services committee: “Clearly, what we’ve done hasn’t been enough.”
Asked if he had been granted the authority by Trump to counter Russian cyber-attacks at source, Rogers said: “No, I have not.”
Well, Dear Reader, here is a situation where a hostile nation has been caught attacking our electoral system, has continued to do that, and the response from Our Glorious Commandante is utter silence.
So it would seem to be reasonable to posit that Putin has Trump by the balls. Why else would Trump refuse to defend this country from cyber attacks? You can bet your next paycheck that if the very same cyber attack was coming from an adherent of Islam, that Trump would be exhausting the inventory of ordnance that is droppable from Predators and manned aircraft.
But not a peep out of Trump when the perpetrators are Russians.
Maybe it's time that we impeach this traitor and lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!

ReplyDeleteBecause he, personally, and the Republicans generally, benefit from them. Were that not the case, there would be a Fox-fueled uproar over them and defending against them would be the highest priority for everyone who answers to him.
Whether they could actually do anything effective to stop it is an entirely different question.

Putin/Russia has something on Trump, possibly from the Ms Universe pageant held there. They have incriminating evidence that they are using to blackmail him. That is why he is taking no direct action against Russia.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell, if the Trumpanistas can create artificial alternative facts, so can I.
Dale
Vlad simply hasn't told him what to do.

ReplyDeleteWhere, then, is the CNN fueled outrage? Since, I mean, it (according to you, anyway) has affected the DNC types greatly, to their detriment.
Your side seems to always have a surfeit of outrage on tap for the slightest thing, yet so far.....nothing from the CNN driven screamers. They have the most media outlets and collaborate on what (and how to disseminate) their message will be to their viewers. Where is the outrage?
I don't know, as I don't watch CNN. But what does that have to do with what I said? I didn't say anything about CNN or any other network besides Fox, or as it is also known, Trump TV.

B., maybe CNN and the DNC is waiting to get the facts, something that never hampers Fox and Donnie.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why the Orange Shitgibbon doesn't issue pointless, distracting and nonsensical orders. I'm much more alarmed by Admiral Rogers saying he needs the Orange Shitgibbon to tell him what to do. This goniff is a fucking Admiral, for FSM's sake. That's a step higher than Ship's Captain!!! He shouldn't need orders to do his duty, which is defined in statute and more generally in the oath he swore on taking office. If this jamoke doesn't know what he needs to do to protect the Constitution from foreign enemies than he is not qualified to be in the well-oaid position he's in. Fire him and put somebody like Jeff Zuckerberg, who knows how computers and the internet work, in his place.
