This is Going to Get Interesting

It's going to be a nervous weekend for the Trumpers:
A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter.

The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge. Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said. It is unclear what the charges are.

  1. They better be checking the airports, harbors, borders, etc. These folks got money to run and countries to run to!

  2. I saw someone on TV asked whether Rosenstein would have had to sign off on this beforehand, and they said not necessarily, but he probably would have been informed.
Which might explain the frantic attempts at discrediting Mueller this past week by Fergus & friends.

  3. I'm waiting as well. If only to see who. And to make the news media find something to actually WORK for a change.

  4. Nothing says that it can't be more than one person who'll get to post bail on Monday.

It'll be highly orchestrated. They'll surrender, get printed and photographed, post bail and be back out the door in less than half-a-day. They might go drag in Manafort and perp-walk him, but they're probably not going to do that to any of the Trump family.

  5. Guilty or innocent though, the perp-walk is part of the 'not-presumed-innocent pre-trial punishment, like the hilarious prison rape culture is an intended but unmentioned added torture, like solitary confinement. Don't drop the soap, 'ha, ha'. None of the mouth-breathers yelling 'hang her' have the imagination to realize it could be them in the shower. Then they'll suddenly love the ACLU. Nothing turns an authoritarian into a liberal faster than being thrown into stir with their former heroes, cops and jail screws.

  6. Think Mueller will be around on Monday?

  7. Is there any requirement for the Feds to release arrest data, or could they limit info? I assume involved third parties would likely report the arrests, thou.

  8. OK, Manafort is the first one. Charges not specified yet.
