A federal grand jury in Washington, DC, on Friday approved the first charges in the investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources briefed on the matter.
The charges are still sealed under orders from a federal judge. Plans were prepared Friday for anyone charged to be taken into custody as soon as Monday, the sources said. It is unclear what the charges are.

ReplyDeleteIt'll be highly orchestrated. They'll surrender, get printed and photographed, post bail and be back out the door in less than half-a-day. They might go drag in Manafort and perp-walk him, but they're probably not going to do that to any of the Trump family.
Guilty or innocent though, the perp-walk is part of the 'not-presumed-innocent pre-trial punishment, like the hilarious prison rape culture is an intended but unmentioned added torture, like solitary confinement. Don't drop the soap, 'ha, ha'. None of the mouth-breathers yelling 'hang her' have the imagination to realize it could be them in the shower. Then they'll suddenly love the ACLU. Nothing turns an authoritarian into a liberal faster than being thrown into stir with their former heroes, cops and jail screws.
