Trump told a reporter that the country has “great people” responding to the massive storms and that “a group that really deserves tremendous credit is the United States Coast Guard," according to a White House pool report.
“What they've done — I mean, they've gone right into that, and you never know. When you go in there, you don't know if you're going to come out. They are really — if you talk about branding, no brand has improved more than the United States Coast Guard,” Trump said.
A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Also, Joe Biden. (I finally realized why the gaffes seemed eerily familiar.)
ReplyDeletetRump likely didn't even know of the Coast Guard. I mean it's not "The Army, or The Marines". Coasties protect us every single day of the week and yet are totally ignored by the media.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine being oblivious as he is, that he never heard of them. No wonder "they are doing a great job", they always have been.

I never had the honor serving in the military, but had I, I would've gone USCG. As one USCG acquaintance once told me: "Other branches train for something they hope they never have to do: go to war. We train for something we want to do: saving and protecting people." But they get little respect for it.
