A man charged with fatally stabbing two men and injuring a third who tried to shield young women from an anti-Muslim tirade appeared to brag about the attacks as he sat in the back of a police patrol car, saying "that's what liberalism gets you," according to court documents.Funny how now some asswipe on the far-Right is basically using the saying that "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."
The probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday offers the most complete official account to date of the events that unfolded Friday on a light-rail car packed with commuters eager to get home for the Memorial Day weekend.
[The Asswipe of Portland], the man arrested in the stabbings, shouted "You call it terrorism! I call it patriotism!" and "Death to the enemies of America!" as he made his first appearance in the case Tuesday. [Asswipe], 35, did not enter a plea and has another court date June 7.
But it is true, nonetheless, that it matters which side you are on. And whether or not it's your side that prevailed.
Or even, one man's religious expression is another's terrorism.
ReplyDeleteBut the reality is, the First Amerndment's "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" is null, because politics have become religion. And a pretty ugly Calvinistic one at that...

Many Republicans believe that any government program that aims to make life better for the not rich is wrong. Morally wrong. Doesn't matter if it works. Doesn't matter if it does good. Doesn't matter what it costs, billions, millions, or even a few hundred thousand. Doesn't matter if the People want it and need it. They shouldn't want it or need it and shouldn't have it. It's wrong. It goes against the will of God or the laws of nature. All things are commodities and meant to be bought and sold at a profit to someone. People exist to make and spend money. How much money you make and what you can afford to spend determines your worth, moral and material, the two being one and the same. Anything that disrupts this divinely and naturally ordained order by giving people what could and should be bought in the “free” market is an abomination.
