PRODUCT RECALL: Walther CCP
The biggest knock that I know of against the CCP is that it is allegedly a Umarex gun that was rebadged as a Walther. Umarex is better known for making airsoft (replica) guns. Putting Walther's name on a Umarex product is like putting a Porsche badge on a VW.

What have you got against the 914?
ReplyDeleteOr the 912, 924 or Cayenne for that matter?
ReplyDeleteI've got a '73 Colt .25 caliber auto (fka Astra Cub) with the same problem. Old as it is the Colt factory will fix it for me free but I haven't done it yet since I never keep 'one up the spout' anyway.
ReplyDeleteCP88, are those really VW's? I thought the Cayenne was legit. The 924 was a tragic joke of a sports car, I can believe it's a Bug somebody melted and stretched.
ReplyDeleteThe 912 and 924 (and the 944, to a lessor extent) were bastards made from VW and Porsche parts. Porsche needed an entry level vehicle and VW was the doner for many parts. The Cayenne is a more mixed bag...the first gen frame/chassis was the same between the Cayenne, the Touareg and the Audi Q7, and they pretty much came from the same factory. By the same token, the Boxter's were contract built too, not made in a Porsche owned factory...and may still be, IDK.
