The replacement for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is an alleged neo-nazi.
Spicer said "having the chief strategist for the president in those meetings who has a significant military background to help make - guide what the president's final analysis is going to be is crucial."You know Spicer's lying, his lips are moving.
Bannon was in the Navy for seven years. He basically did his first sea tour, a stretch of shore duty as a junior Pentagon lackey, and then he got out. He didn't do a Department Head tour, let alone anything resembling a command tour.
That is not "significant military experience". Tell anyone who served in the Navy that being a division officer on a destroyer counts as "significant military experience" and they will laugh in your face. One of the big knocks that the Right kept making about former Navy Secretary Mabus was that he had only served--- wait for it--- a division officer tour.*
Replacing the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the Director of National Intelligence with a troll whose last bit of military service was over a third of a century ago is inexcusable and outright laughable.

* Mabus served less, to be fair.
It might be laughable if I were reading it in a piece of political fiction. Then, it might be laugh-out-loud funny. IRL, though, it's too aggravating, horrifying & terrifying to be in any way amusing.

The kids never want the babysitter in the room, you know that. I'd be more interested in who proposed these changes.
ReplyDeleteI was reading that we would really get president Pence, but it looks like we get president Bannon instead, and he's a real piece of work.
