A [truck] has ploughed into a busy Christmas market in the heart of Berlin, killing nine people and injuring many more, police say.And this:
Police say they suspect it was a deliberate attack. Video shows stalls knocked over and people lying injured.
A suspect has been arrested while the suspected co-driver was found dead, police say.
A Turkish policeman has shot dead Russia's ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, apparently in protest at Russia's involvement in Aleppo.Russia in Syria, under the guise of "fighting terrorism", has engaged in aerial butchery of a scale not seen in a very long time. There are allegations that the Russians have deliberately attacked schools and hospitals. Which may be why Russia withdrew from the ICC.
interesting times indeed
ReplyDeleteWith the throughly anti-Muslim administration taking office, I suspect that we are about to enter a new crusading era. The right-wing in Europe will encourage joining in, and we will see things degenerate. Expect a more militarized society, and a steady erosion of rights. The question will be how far will the decline be, and how precipitous? There will be opposition until a major city sustains an attack of a chemical, nuclear or biological nature, at which point the screaming ape surfaces and we'll reduce the world's population by a pretty good percentage.
ReplyDeleteI sent this letter to Russia's ambassador:
ReplyDeleteHis Excellency Sergey I. KISLYAK
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation
2650 Wisconsin Ave., N.W.
Washington, DC 20007
Your Excellency:
Aleppo is the Stalingrad of the Syrian people. Putin and his puppet, al-Assad, are the Nazis, Hitler and Paulus.
Unfortunately for the Syrian people, it will never snow there to save them as it did to save you from Napoleon and Hitler.
Syrians will remember the destruction of their country and people as the Great Patriotic War.
Stewart, nice letter, but it was a waste of the stamp and paper.
