Sadly, no.
Donald Trump’s new presidential campaign chief is registered to vote in a key swing state at an empty house where he does not live, in an apparent breach of election laws.Bannon isn't by far the only right-wing loon to have done this, but I'm out of time this morning. You'll have to go look it up for yourselves.
Stephen Bannon, the chief executive of Trump’s election campaign, has an active voter registration at the house in Miami-Dade County, Florida, which is vacant and due to be demolished to make way for a new development.
“I have emptied the property,” Luis Guevara, the owner of the house, which is in the Coconut Grove section of the city, said in an interview. “Nobody lives there … we are going to make a construction there.” Neighbors said the property had been abandoned for several months.
Bannon, 62, formerly rented the house for use by his ex-wife, Diane Clohesy, but did not live there himself. Clohesy, a Tea Party activist, moved out of the house earlier this year and has her own irregular voting registration arrangement.
You see, you're just misunderstanding the terminology. A quick primer:
ReplyDelete1) Voter fraud - Non-whites voting
2) Voter ID Laws - Prevents voter fraud
3) Voter Registration - Prevents voter fraud
4) Hispanic Voter - Voter fraud
5) African-American Voter - Voter fraud
Maybe the reason they think that voter fraud is a problem is because they keep doing it, themselves.
ReplyDeleteeasiest way to swing an election in any city is as follows..
ReplyDelete1) get or reproduce a stack of mail in ballots..
2) go thru the obituaries every day from now till mail in voting closes and fill out a ballot for each of the (probably) registered room temperature voters
3) using the address provided in the obit, mail in a vote for your candidate
if the race is close, you will swing the election the way you think it should go. don't think so?? count the number of obits for a week and do some math.
And yet, while I think any voter fraud should be a jailable offense, You liberals oppose voter ID laws, and support those who fight them...."Because it disenfranchises the poor" or somesuch bullshit. Instead, the lack of it enables voter fraud....and mostly on the DNC side (not all, but the great majority of voter fraud is Democrat, and occurs in DNC controlled areas....).
ReplyDeleteIt isn't in Republican conclave that the dead rise to vote.....
If you have an issue with voter fraud, then I congratulate you....but I think you are too partisan and oppose only RNC voter fraud...you seem to be able to overlook rampant DNC fraud.....which would make you a hypocrite...
Yo, B. Please provide the number of people prosecuted in the last four years for voter fraud, and their party of registration. That is all.
ReplyDeleteComrade Misfit: BINGO
ReplyDeleteOne minute.
Election fraud database for 2012 going back to 2000. An alarming number of election officials are listed... Turnout since 1960. Math.
The "Chicago voter" gag is so old that even I have heard of it. However, the obituary trick is a known and easily detected exploit. Really, impersonation fraud is 0.5% of a very small percentage of actual fraud. It's easier to find Satanic meanings in /r/o/c/k/ heavy metal lyrics.
Here in California, we can vote my mail, and I do it that way every time, as it allows me to look up each candidate and initiative before I vote for them, increasing the actual quality of my vote. To register online, you have to authorize them to use the signature you have on file with the DMV, which they check against the signature on your ballot envelope to make sure it's really you. I think that if you don't have a signature on file with the DMV, you have to actually sign a voter registration form, so they have some way to identify the one on your ballot envelope. It just seems to me that if a state wants fair elections, they can pay for them like we do, and if they don't, they don't.
