Donald Trump winning the US presidency is considered one of the top 10 risks facing the world, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.Nobody who would vote for The Donald will give a rat's ass what some Limey eggheads think. So if you're trying to persuade Americans not to vote for Trump, well, good luck with that.
The research firm warns he could disrupt the global economy and heighten political and security risks in the US.
A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Actually, I think they're just trying to tell rich people of all lands where to park their money for maximum return.
ReplyDeleteSome other Brit in a Brit publication said this week that Americans need to ban and turn in all their guns. Pffff. Is this because Merlin comes from the British Isles? Is that where all this magical thinking comes from?
ReplyDeleteNJT, yeah, when I see things written by Brits or Aussies about how we Americans need to turn in our guns, I just ignore it.
ReplyDeleteThey are more than welcome to stay where they are. And the ones who come over here and then say that we need to turn in our guns are more than welcome to go the fuck back to where they came from. They're as bad as the Californians who move to Oregon (or the Massholes who move to NH) and then try to turn the place into their home state.
Next time a Limey or an Oz-lander wants to give all of the US advice, run your idea past a Canadian. If the Canadian looks dubious at you, maybe it's because they know how well it will fly with their southern neighbor. Then take that hint.
ReplyDeleteAnd Bernie would be better? Really???
ReplyDeleteOver Donald Trump? Every day and three times on Saturday. Trump has a long record of trying to use the law and government to crush those who are in his way. I think Sanders will follow the law. Trump, not so much.
ReplyDeleteBut, Comrade, isn't the right of those Massholes to try to do just that exactly what we wish to preserve? Why go all Reich-wing and say love it or leave it? Let's welcome those magic thinkers and let they try to convince people all they want while we do to...perhaps, in the long run, something fruitful will come of it that will keep everyone happy, if not, that's the way a Republic runs...
ReplyDeleteThis is the most useful explanation of the The Donald I've found so far: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/i-love-poorly-educated-how-donald-trump-learned-wwe-break-fourth-wall-1545978
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Economist goes - they're just warning the rest of the world. Contemplate your inner xenophobia and then your outer xenophobia. Inspector O got the shpilkes earlier: http://38north.org/2015/12/jchurch123015/
