It's a sad thing that good health in developing, as well as 'established' countries leads so quickly to overpopulation. A longer life span can be a great thing if you aren't burdened beyond your means raising children.
ReplyDeleteI understand it will never be that simple, but controlling the birth rate is equally as important as controlling the disease rate.
I guess it comes back to education.
People need to see a value in not having children.

ReplyDeleteVery simple solution to population growth: Make sure they have a decent economy(capitalist systems work quickest and best), and then introduce socialist programs, and especially important, the tax rates necessary to attempt to fund them. Sit back and watch the birth rate plummet below replacement rates. No more problem!
So far in history, this always works. (if you haven't noticed, Socialism has this as a built-in national death sentence. Due to human nature, there is no way to avoid this result.)
