Thunderbolt

A little better quality footage:

  1. The shame was the destruction of P-47s prior to the Korean war. Many USAF pilots suffered when their fluid cooled engines were disabled by enemy fire during ground attack missions. In WWII, the Thunderbolts often flew back to base with entire cylinders shot off, while Mustangs were shot down by one Golden Bullet in the cooling system in Korea. Some bureaucrat should have been prosecuted for the P-47's destruction just when they were needed but of course that never happened.
