Possible End of the A-380?

Airbus is mulling over shutting down the A-380 production line in 2018 once the current orders are filled. Airbus hasn't landed a single order for the airplane in a year.

There is a proposal to re-engine and upgrade the A-380 design, but it seems that only Emirates is interested.

  1. I've been posting the mission stories of my father's time in B-17s. His 31st mission was flown 70 years ago yesterday. His next was on the 18th.

My cousin wrote yesterday that his father arrived in the Ardennes yesterday, too. He was in the 106th Division, units of which were captured during the offensive. Fortunately, his wasn't one of them.

Now, it's hard to imagine all that going on, but rereading the mission narratives, for me, really brings it home.
