“My gosh, I’m beginning to think that there’s more freedom in North Korea sometimes than there is in the United States,” [Huckabee] said in his remarks. He's welcome to go there. Since he'd probably bring his Bible, let alone try to talk to others about his faith, he'd be stood in front of a machine gun and executed. Or maybe the NKs would stick him in a political reeducation camp and see how long ol' Mike would last on a regimen of hard labor, summary executions and medical experimentation. Roughly 10,000 people die each year in North Korean prisons, as best can be estimated.
When it comes to freedom and liberty, there is probably no nation on Earth that has less freedom or liberty than North Korea.
But let's guess at how many conservatives will call out Huckabee on this bit of unpatriotic bilge. You would think that the self-styled patriots at the "Freedom Summit" would have grabbed their folding chairs and stormed the stage to give Huckabee a richly-deserved thrashing.
But sadly, no.
Heck, I'll buy him a whole 1 Way ticket as long as its non-refundable so he does try to cash it in.
ReplyDeleteHaven't the North Koreans suffered enough? Wouldn't inflicting Huckabee upon them be a violation of the Geneva Conventions?
