What's 70 Million Smackers Here or There?

At least that jarhead Marine got a nice photo of himself to commemorate the crash.

  2. Never liked this bird. Liked the concept, but the execution is a nightmare.
At least with fixed-wing, you don't have the plumbing nightmare that the Osprey enjoys.
But hell, I never liked choppers either.

  3. So let me get this straight. They get rained on by leaking hydraulic fluid when they ride in this sucker? Say WHA?!

Look. Any other bird on the planet, if there's a few drops of hydraulic fluid, that bird gets a major inspection and repair the next day. You certainly don't get *rained* on. WTF is the matter with the Maroons, flying birds in that kind of disrepair?!

  4. Tux, that's partially because no other aircraft right now is running a large system at 5000 psi. 3000 psi in small systems is not uncommon, but...

The V-22 has a bad habit of spraying hydraulic fluid...kinda like an unfixed Tom.
