The State Department of Natural Resources apparently has an exhibit there, so you might want to stop by and tell them how much you appreciate them for deploying a SWAT team to kill Bambi bin Laden. If you're good with graphics, feel free to add a "kill the fawn for fun" booth to this map (and I'll be happy to link to it).
Or for fun, you can video other people telling them off and post the video to YouTube. Since the SWAT team confiscated everyone's cell phones and deleted all visual evidence of those thirteen cos deploying to kill a fawn.
Or, if you're on FB, go ream them out there.
UPDATE: They seem to have taken down their FB page. I guess there were far too many people calling them out for being heavily armed gutless weasels.
UPDATE II:
UPDATE III: Their FB page is back up and are they ever being ripped a new one. The DNR's excuses are all about chronic wasting disease and that it was illegal for the shelter to house the fawn. What they aren't addressing is the point that 80% of the commentators are taking them to task for: Sending thirteen armed state goons to take out one little fawn. If they have to deal with a bear, the DNR probably sends in some surplus M-48 tanks.
And if you do decide to drop by their exhibit, take a detour past your local truck stop and get a pair of these guys to leave at their booth. 'Cause clearly they ain't got any if it takes *thirteen* of them to take down Bambi bin Laden.
ReplyDeleteBut I gotta say, this does prove that anti-gunners who claim assault rifles are useless for hunting deer are wrong. It might've taken thirteen people with assault rifles to bag this deer, but they did it!

What a terrific idea!
ReplyDeleteThe "brass balls" page was closed too? They get around!

Everybody who OK'd that thuggery, and anyone in a position to've stopped it and didn't plus everyone who thinks SWAT teams are reasonable for any DNR tasks ought to be fired.
ReplyDeleteIn case anyone's been looking for the WI DNR mailing address - and it isn't on their website - here it is:

There is a Wikipedia page for WIDNR that might be worthy of some editing to include a discussion about the killing of Bambi bin Laden.
