A blog by a "sucker" and a "loser" who served her country in the Navy.
If you're one of the Covidiots who believe that COVID-19 is "just the flu",
that the 2020 election was stolen, or
especially if you supported the 1/6/21 insurrection,
leave now.

All Sandy, All the Time
The breadth of the storm means that pretty much everyone in the Boston-Washington corridor will be hammered by the storm to some degree. It could result in the biggest power outage since the 2003 blackout (and for much longer). High winds, heavy rain and even snow are in the forecasts.
If you've waited until today to stock up on essentials, you may be shit outta luck.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
Or it could be a big bust..
ReplyDeleteWe are prepared just in case. Doing things like securing things that may move in high wind and making sure batteries are charged. I'm not panicking as whats the point, I'll deal with it if and when there is a problem.
Now to run out and clean the store shelves last they collapse.

An as soon as it hits, the canned stories of the "failure" of the Obama administration will be played by Fox NotNews. Remember w/ the republinews and lazy other corporate media it's always the black guy's fault...also just read where failure to FUND new weather satelites (hmm republican congress anyone) will resort in less accurate predictions of its course as our weather satelites are dying of old age....

Hell , if you don't keep essential supplies on hand at all times you are foolish. Never know what's just around the corner...
ReplyDeleteThe old BSA motto, Be prepared, still holds.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm not of the expectation that this will be a really big event
where I am.
I've secured the fliers, the stuff that wind might have fun with. That
and making sure my Batteries are topped. Enough gas to insure the genset
can run the hot water for the AM showers and PM cook and eat. Everything
else is ready to go.
