I Miss One Thing About the Navy
Moving as a civilian sucks unless you've got a lot of cash (or a corporate relocation). On the other hand, packing yourself gives you a good chance to weed/purge old crap.

I already know how I'm going to die. It will be on moving day. Heart attack and/or catastrophic stroke. Not sure if it's the next move or the one after that, but I don't believe I have three moves left in me.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a barn-full of stuff in storage now. Many totes that haven't been opened in four moves. Don't ask me why we don't throw that stuff out. I'll cry.
I long for the days when I was able to fit everything I owned in a duffel bag and parachute bag. Well maybe not, but it's nice to think back to when there was a time I could do that.
