About Time!

Catholic Bishop Robert W. Finn and the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph have been indicted by a grand jury on a charge of failure to report suspected child abuse by a priest, prosecutors said Friday in Missouri.

The class A misdemeanor carries a potential sentence of up to a year in jail and a fine up to $1,000 for Finn, 58, and a fine for the diocese, said Jackson County prosecutor Jean Peters-Baker. Both pleaded not guilty Friday
.
As long as all it cost them was some cash, they had very little reason not to do what they had been doing for decades: Cover this shit up, move the pedophiles around and hope that they wouldn't get caught. And if it came to light, the lawyers could drag it out for years before they'd have to cut a check.

Maybe a few perp-walks will catch their attention. Maybe the sight of a few bishops having their mug shots taken will shake them a little.
