ATF and the "Peter Principle"

The ATF has promoted three key supervisors of a controversial sting operation that allowed firearms to be illegally trafficked across the U.S. border into Mexico.
Snark would be superfluous.

  1. Mission accomplished!

(Would seem to be the applause line at their promotion dinner.)

Thanks for continuing to illuminate these dark doings.

  2. So typical, to promote these idiots instead of firing them...welcome to management! Just like when I was in the FAA as a controller, whenever someone was unsafe or incapable of doing the job, promote them to some job where they can't hurt anyone. Over my 28 year career I saw the ranks of management swell to amazing levels, while the Controller ranks were thinned and level one towers and FSS was contracted out. Now the President is telling the heads of all the Federal Agencies to plan on 5 to 10% cuts in next year's budgets...you can bet that the management ranks will not be affected!
