Firefox 4
Crimus, if people wanted to use a browser that looks like Google's Chrome, guess what they are going to do?

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
I rue the day I downgraded to Firefox 4. It was like trading a perfectly good year-old Lexus for a '47 Chevy.
ReplyDeleteHow the heck do you get anything accomplished without a menu bar? That's like having a car with no dashboard.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks for the warning. I really only update the crap Apple or the Xbox makes me update.
Phil, most of my friends had Windows 7, so it was easy. I picked a restore date that was before I knew they had "upgraded" and used that.
ReplyDeleteFirefox 3.6 was there. Then I merely reinstalled Windows updates and antivirus updates and they were good to go.
I have a menu bar with Firefox 4.0
ReplyDeleteIt is at the very top and smaller but does everything I need it to. But yes, it took me awhile to get used to it.
Right click in a blank area where the tabs are located and put a check mark in the choice marked Menu Bar. That's all there is to it. And it also works the same in Firefox 5.0 Good luck.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Comrade, but I'll hang with FF4 for a little while longer. Firefox updates fairly often, and I'm curious to see if they'll remedy some of their glaring omissions (such as restoring the AutoFill feature, for instance).
ReplyDeleteIf Firefox 5 is being released in a couple of months, then why even bother with FF4?
ReplyDeleteI got used to the lack of toolbar pretty quickly and it can be returned easily enough as stated above.
