Some of those guys are landing and taking off in 100 feet or less of ground roll. Sure, those are "race planes", but they still have to be super pilots to do that.
This year's competition is on May 6-8th.

ReplyDeleteIIRC from being there last year, the silver cub with the skull and crossbones was pretty kitted out. Paul's cub is the same one he uses for workaday stuff at his lodge Ultima Thule - and aside from those great big tundra tires is about as stripped down as you can get - not even an electrical system!
