  2. Surprisingly beautiful, even though I've looked at a lot of contrail-making through binoculars.

    Was that vertical separation to regulation?

  3. 1,000' separation, so yes. The days are long gone since the vertical separation at the flight levels was 4,000' (then 2,000').
