This is another justification for the FairTax. Think of all the money we spend on compliance now, at all levels (personal, business, and enforcement).

ReplyDeleteThe "FAIR Tax" is like "clean coal", both are inherently contradictory.
Accountants are good people making an honest living (OK, most of them) helping us live up to the over 1,000,000 lines of tax code. I was trying to emphasize that 95% of the compliance cost will disappear under the FairTax (including many of those accountants).
