Napoleon Wasn't Short?

He was 5'7", which was slightly above-average for a French soldier in the 19th Century.

So where did this "Napoleon is short" crap come about? It came primarily from British propaganda.

(British propaganda also dragged us into the First World War and helped Chimpy justify the Iraq War.)

  1. I don't care. I'm still using the 'Napoleon complex' concept. It's very useful.

  2. Regardless of his height, I still prefer a Napoleon pastry to Wellington boots.
