AUSTIN, Texas —Tom DeLay, the former House majority leader, was sentenced to three years in prison on Monday after convictions for money laundering and conspiracy stemming from his role in a scheme to channel corporate contributions to Texas state races in 2002.If DeLay loses his appeals, I'll bet that Gov. Perry will pardon him or commute his sentence.
Because the IOKIYAR Rule is the defacto law of the land in the states of the old Confederacy.
Agreed
ReplyDeleteAhh, but the fact that he was remanded into custody while they went round and round, the rotten fucker did get the gate slammed on him at least once.
ReplyDeleteTurns out that by the time he's eligible for pardon, he will have long served his sentence. Something about the laws in Texas being changed after a pardon-selling scandal. Governor Goodhair is powerless.
