And We Get to Charge More Fees!

The FAA is "reregistering" every airplane in the U.S.

Of course, they get to charge more fees for it.

  2. Meh. I'm still waiting for my postcard from the FAA - my N number starts with "9" and I hear they're doing it in sorted order.

The renewal is a one time thing, $5 IIRC. Not a big deal.

I'm more mad about the proposal to put pictures on the pilot certificate - which would cause it to expire every 8 years ( as opposed to "never", as it does now ) to be renewed in person at the FSDO/DPE for $22
