Now it's awaiting the President's signature. There is almost zero chance that this piece-of-shit bill won't become law.

UPDATE: Obama won't sign it and, as Congress is adjourned, that kills it.

ReplyDeleteAs I understand the procedure, it makes sense. A formal veto could be subject to an override vote after Congress returns. A pocket veto cannot be overridden, they have to start all over.
