One of the Tea Party's main fundraisers is a long-time Republican "operative" named Sal Russo. Between Russo, Dick Armey and the Koch brothers, they have transformed what was last year a somewhat-spontaneous outburst of frustration into a GOP shadow organization.
The folks who show up at the rallies, expecting that they are somehow going to "restore American values" should realize that to the money-men of the Right, that means putting the same twisted cranks in charge that have been driving this nation into an economic ditch for the last three decades.
