A flight attendant at Compass Airlines was fired for publicly revealing that the airline's pay scale was so shitty that she qualified for food stamps.
Tevye was wrong: It is a shame to be poor, at least if you happen to be employed by Compass Airlines. What does Compass Airlines expect their FAs to do; walk up and down the side of the road and scavenge empty bottles for the deposit money?
The "compass" in their name doesn't refer to their moral compass. For a manger who would fine an employee for speaking the truth about what she is paid is a reprehensible lout.
