My tiny ego dented! How did I ever keep from shooting her face off or setting her on fire with my taser? God, I need to toughen up, right guys? It's our REPUTATION on the line!"
Here in Canada we have always had less rights than south of the border but for the most part it was tempered by common sense. Buuuut, after 9/11 more and more jack-booted police antics are being reported.....and tolerated.

On a side note, I was in a bar a few years back listening to some off duty Niagara Regional Police officers discuss how to beat up prisoners in unconventional and deniable ways.....and on my way out there was an occupied cruiser obviously riding herd on these ass-clowns, totally squashed any notions of reporting them officially.
