Don't Let the Screen Door Hit You, On Your Way Out

Oh, please do.
Rep. Zach Wamp (R-03) suggested TN and other states may have to consider seceding from the union if the federal government does not change its ways regarding mandates.

"I hope that the American people will go to the ballot box in 2010 and 2012 so that states are not forced to consider separation from this government," said Wamp during an interview with Hotline OnCall.
Virtually all of the states that bleat about this get far more from the Federal government than they pay in. They get all sorts of pork and other bennies.

So fine. Go. You'll get nothing more from us. We'll put the sort of border security fence that you've been slavering for, but it'll go around your nation of morons and we'll make a shitload of improved SM-70s to make certain that you stay in your new nation.

Oh, and as for all of those Federal benefits that the new citizens of the Cracker Republic have been collecting? Forget about it. We're not going to pay you seditious bastards a penny.

    Let me escape first!

    You know, I watched the tail end of the GOP gubernatorial candidate's debate on our local PBS on Monday night. Our primary was on Tuesday. One guy wanted to "work against Obama and the encroaching federal gubmint." The next guy wanted to "ensure that Georgia law was based on Scripture." and another guy wanted Georgians to know that he was against health care reform and the stimulus that may have brought some jobs to Georgia, but it also brought more government control."

    Some choice, huh? When Nathan Deal looks like your best candidate, you're in trouble.
