JATO requires mounting hardware. They'd have probably had to have scrapped it in place.

ReplyDeleteIt not only sounded like it was much heavier loaded than takeoff weight but he was not expecting a short runway. So everything had to go just right just to land. Sounds like one lucky pilot and a whole bunch of lucky passengers.
