Doing the Right Thing -- the Blue Wall of Silence

One of the officers of the NYPD has broken the storied "blue wall of silence" to testify against his fellow officers, who are on trial for sodomizing an arrestee. That took real guts. But his lawyer, apparently, has a second home in La-La Land, where he raises unicorns:
His lawyer, Paul P. Martin, said his client was “relieved” after testifying. Asked whether speaking out had made Officer Maloney’s life at work more difficult, Mr. Martin said, “His hope and his belief is that by coming forward and just testifying there would be no reason for anyone to retaliate.”
Hopefully, Officer Maloney won't wind up like Detective Serpico.
