Your Friday Doom and Gloom

Actually, I wrote it on Tuesday, but I put it up on another blog, so if you want to be even more depressed in this holiday season, go read it.

    Oh, I'm not depressed. The civilization is at an inflection point, and things are going to be much, much different in the near future. Probably in ways not much fun to live through. Wars, famine, die-back and things I can't imagine.

    I could be wrong. Maybe some Heinlein hero will produce Mr. Fusion and we'll get by. But I doubt it.

    In any case, the planet is fine. Humans... We're fucked. Party like it's 1999 ! I plan on enjoying the end as kindly and grandly as possible.
