The Sanctity of Marriage

Once again, the "marriage is a blessed sacrament" does not apply to prominent Republicans.

I have no problems with couples divorcing. I'd rather see them end marriages through the legal system, rather than with alternative methods such as golf clubs and wood-chippers. I've known couples who proclaimed that they'd be married forever and that "divorce is against G-d's laws", only to avail themselves of a divorce when their marriages soured.

But it gripes me to see the "pro-marriage" crowd so accepting of terminating their own marriages, even as they try to make divorces harder to get.

And then there is the whole "we think marriage is a sacrament, we'll divorce whenever it suits us, but you frakking faggots can't get married" hypocrisy.
