Google Maps and Driving Directions
Google Maps sucked. Their directions would have taken me to a road with a locked "emergency-only" access gate. Mapquest was slightly better, though their directions involved a bunch of turns over the human-generated directions.
"How do I get there" is still a useful question to ask.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
On the other hand, Google Maps does give accurate directions from Darwin,CA to Panamint Springs, CA. My Garmin GPS would send me right off a waterfall(!!!).
ReplyDelete(To be fair, Google Maps *also* would route me off the waterfall if I told it "shortest distance" rather than "shortest time", sigh!).
