Getting Beaten by Your Husband is a "Pre-Existing Condition"

And, of course, that means no medical insurance for you. This goes on in eight states: Idaho, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota and Wyoming, as well as the District of Columbia.

Note that previous attempts to change Federal law to prevent the idea that being beaten is a pre-existing condition has been blocked by Republicans. No shocker there.

    That's got to be the sickest thing I've seen in ... days.

    I'm gonna repeat it at work tomorrow, just to see how many resident fans of the Hannity / Beck / Coulter axis accuse me of making it up.
