English Language FAIL

Russia's energy giant Gazprom has signed a $2.5bn (£1.53bn) deal with Nigeria's state operated NNPC, to invest in a new joint venture.

The new firm, to be called Nigaz, is set to build refineries, pipelines and gas power stations in Nigeria.
Heh. That name should last as long at it takes for the cables from the Russian embassies in the US and the UK to hit Putin's Medvedev's desk.

  1. Well, clearly English is not their first language. Kinda like the time I was in Italy, and was asked what type of work I did. I answered that I had been working in a casino, pronouncing it in the english fashion.

After the hilarity died down, my italian GF told me that that pronunciation means "whorehouse".

    Ooops. Classic fail.

  2. And why should English Rule here? It's a Russian company in Nigeria. Weak hehe... if you like, but actual failed attempts at english ( like engrish ) - which this is not - I find much funnier.
