Governor Rick Perry of Texas.
You may recall that last month, ol' Slimeball appeared at tea-party events in Texas and suggested that Texas might want to secede from the Union (like they haven't already tried that). He rejected aid from the stimulus package to help the unemployed, a nice example of standing up for your principles on the backs of the downtrodden if there ever was one.
But seems that Perry's principles of "hooray for Texas and fuck the Federal government" only go so far. First, he demanded that the Federal government send over 37,000 doses of Tamiflu to help Texas fend off the swine flu. I guess he couldn't buy them on the free market.
Now, Gov. Bush-Lite wants to use $11 million in stimulus cash to help rebuild the governor's mansion. So it is OK to stand on principle when other people pay the price, but in order to spiffy up his official residence, he'll take Federal money from the same pot that every congressman from the party of Hoover voted against.
Perry can go live in a refrigerator carton under an overpass at the interchange of I-20 and I-35E for all I care. Not a thin dime of Federal money should be going to rebuild the Texas Governor's Mansion. If Texans don't care enough about it to fund it, why the hell is money being taken from the Federal purse?
Fuck him, hard.
