The Needle of the Surprise-o-Meter Hardly Moved

The Bush Administration so eviscerated the Department of Labor that the investigators in the Wage and Hour Division were refusing to do their jobs. All it too to get one of those lazy-ass fucks of an investigator to drop an investigation was for an employer to refuse to call the investigator back.

The Bush Administration gave a green light for employers to screw over workers at the bottom of the economic ladder. It was a naked plan to exploit the working poor to enrich the employers. There was no ineptness involved here, it was a willful policy not to enforce the laws on the books.

Which ties into this post.

  1. I suppose they achieved their goal of proving that gov't is bad. Isn't that why they want to get elected?
