It sure does appear that the attitude of Rahm Emanuel towards Howard Dean is: "Thanks for winning a majority in both Houses of Congress, don't let the screen door hit you in the ass."
Rahm and the rest of the Old Guard can go back to the old way of doing business: Losing elections to Republicans. And it sure appears that is exactly what they have in mind.
