That would be the blatant campaign by the director of NASA, Michael Griffin, to hold onto his job. Sending his wife out to lead the charge is, well,pretty damn sad.
He's a political appointee, after all, and with this public campaign, he's probably toast.

ReplyDeleteI do rather hope so. I've worked at companies run the way Griffin runs NASA - they all went deservedly bust. If he were Zephram Cochrane, then he could pull the "My Way or the Highway" thing, but he's just not enough of an engineer to run NASA the way he has. Never will be. Doesn't have the imagination, doesn't have the math.
