President George W. Bush suddenly saw that he could very well be the 21st century's Herbert Hoover. So after analyzing the imperiled economy earlier this year, he said, he "decided I didn't want to be the president during a depression greater than the Great Depression . . . so we moved and moved hard."It doesn't matter to Bush that Detroit is teetering on the edge. It doesn't matter to Bush that unemployment is creeping into double-digits. It doesn't matter to Bush that millions of homeowners are being kicked out of their homes. The only thing that matters to Bush that he not be remembered in the same vein as Herbert Hoover.
Too fucking late, Chimpy.
I'm pretty sure someone had to tell Bush who Hoover was.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I doubt Bush is concerned about his true legacy. He's having a great time making up a better one.
Love your last line E.B..Chimpy will be the worst Pres in our history..hands down.
ReplyDeleteHe'll never be as highly regarded as Hoover. Everest is a mole hill compared to the one he has to climb to get to the level of Hoover. And I don't think much of Hoover.
