I think the reason the news is coming out now is because everybody who is involved in this illegal-as-hell crap knows that it's going to come out once Obama comes into office and starts lifting up the rocks to see what scurries out from underneath, and wants to make it into "old news" (and thus not worthy of front-page news coverage) before Obama swears on that Bible, not after. In short, they're trying to immunize themselves against a lengthy stay in Ft. Leavenworth.
