A Bad Babel Fish Translation?

If you read this transcript of an interview with the Governor of Alaska, two things may come to mind:

First: She talks as though she is reading a machine-driven translation from some other language. It is as if she has Babel Fish running in her head. You can speculate on which language she thinks in, I'm going to guess that she thinks in Finnish.

Second: The decision by the McCain campaign to keep her as far away from the press as they could was the right one. A few more interviews like this and people will wonder if there is anyone in Alaska with an IQ above "lukewarm."

  1. eb you should know better === she is RIGHT next to Russia - so she knows Russian and she is also next to Yukon - so maybe she thinks she can speak Yukonese
