Auf Weidersehn, Tempelhof

Tempelhof Airport (EDDI), in what was once known as West Berlin, closed. In unusual German inefficiency, the Germans apparently forgot that three airplanes were still on the field.

Tempelhof was one of the oldest airports in the world. It was also the main arrival airport for the Berlin Airlift, until Tegel Airport was built (mostly by hand).
