Anyone see the irony in the Brits using anti-terrorism powers in an economic dispute between NATO nations?
Here is the view of an Icelandic citizen, with the money paragraph quoted below:
When the Republic of Iceland ran into the greatest troubles in its young life (it gained independence in 1944) and asked for help, none of our so-called friends stood up. The people of Iceland are paralysed by the lack of help and the destructive attack by the British [Prime Minister]. Iceland is an active participant in European cooperation and a founding member of Nato, but in the end, it seems Russia is Iceland's only friend. Brown's insult to Iceland will be remembered long after this £100m debt has been repaid.Toljaso, folks.
Wow. Iceland. A terrorist state. I always thought Björk was over-rated, and Lazytown is just a sick children's TV show, but calling Björk and Magnús Scheving weapons of mass destruction is, uhm. That's a stretch that makes this penguin pine for an iceflow somewhere in the Antarctic.
ReplyDeleteSigh. Sanity. It would be a good idea.
