The Republicans in Congress were willing to give away the Constitutional store to the Administration for seven years. You name it, whatever the Bush Administration demanded, the Republicans were willing to give it to them. They had no trouble gutting the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments to the Constitution on command of Darth Cheney and his puppet, the Tsar of the Baboons.
So why are they balking now?
